The ARS-2 is an evolution of the ARS-1. A key difference is that the ARS-2 can learn and control temperature values for AUTO, COOL, and HEAT modes, while the ARS-1 was limited to selecting temperature values under only one mode. Once connected and configured, the ARS-2 will send the desired Day/Night temperature setpoint to your AC automatically, based on the photocell & temperature sensor status and your settings in the controller.
